Description:
Concave discus encircled by moulding. Angled nozzle flanked by volutes. Defined circular base, inscription indistinct.

On discus: bear running r.

Base marked CRE[...] (?)


Fabric: Buff clay with traces of dark red slip.

Manufacture: Mould made.

Size (cm): L. 8.4, W. 5.8, H. 2.6

Notes:
Cf. (subject) Mlasowsky, 238; Goethert, M173; Loeschcke, 233.
Mark possibly associated with Crescens, a maker whose signature occurs on Firmalampen and other lamp types found in Italy and elsewhere (Broneer, Corinth, p.97).
